Our vision and history

AS-SALAAM Institute of Islamic Studies was established with the goal of bridging the gap between traditional Islamic knowledge and the needs of the modern Muslim community in Nairobi. Our foundation rests on the principles of authenticity, intellectual rigor, and compassion.

Mission: To empower our community with deep-rooted knowledge of the Qur’an and Sunnah, fostering individuals who are confident in their faith and excellent in character (Adab).

Our core values

  • Authenticity

Relying on the Qur’an and Sunnah as our primary sources.

  • Excellence (Ihsan) إحسان

Striving for the highest standards in teaching and conduct.

  • Community

Fostering a supportive, inclusive, and spiritually enriching environment.

  • Adab (Manners) أدب

Emphasizing character development as the cornerstone of education.

“We believe that a sound education in Islam not only enlightens the mind but also transforms the heart.”
